K-pop girl group Blackpink continues their chart success with their second studio album ‘Born Pink’, which held eight weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

Billboard released its main Top 200 chart on Tuesday local time, with ‘Born Pink’ peaking at No. 141. The album’s lead track, ‘Shutdown’, peaked at No. 66 on the Global Top 200 chart, down 20 spots from the previous week. The pre-release track ‘Pink Venom’ from the same album also ranked at No. 81 on the same Global 200 chart, staying on the chart for 12 consecutive weeks.

The Billboard 200 album chart includes physical CD sales as well as online streams and downloads converted to CD sales. 1500 on-demand streams count as one Stream Equivalent Album (SEA) and 10 track downloads count as one Track Equivalent Album (TEA).

Released on September 16, ‘Born Pink’ sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide and topped the Billboard 200 by the end of the same month. The feat made Blackpink the first female K-pop artist to chart on the Billboard 200 chart. Previously only K-pop boy groups BTS, SuperM and Stray Kids topped the list.

With ‘Born Pink’, Blackpink also became the first Asian artist to top the UK Official Albums Chart.
