BTS Jin’s debut solo EP has sold more than 1 million copies, and it’s the K-pop solo artist’s debut single.
Released in October, “The Astronaut” set a record for a single with sales of more than 770,000 copies in its first week.
It peaked at number 51 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and topped its worldwide digital song sales chart. It reached number one on the iTunes chart in a total of 103 territories, the artist’s third solo song to achieve the feat. In the UK, the EP peaked at number 61 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100, becoming the highest-charting single by a K-pop artist.
At the same time, he uploaded a preview of Special 8 Photo-Folio, the band’s ongoing photobook series. He will be the member introduced in the next ocean-themed series.
