Girl group Blackpink successfully wrapped up their world tour in North America on Tuesday, according to YG Entertainment.
The band wrapped up their tour on November 20 at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. At a concert at the same venue on Nov. 19, Cuban-American singer-songwriter Camila Cabello made a surprise appearance during a solo performance of member Jisoo’s song “Liar.”
Other American celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Usher, Olivia Rodrigo and Gracie Abrams came to see Blackpink’s two-day Los Angeles concert.
“We are so grateful to the fans who made tonight so beautiful!” Blackpink said at their final concert in Los Angeles.
The group kicked off their Blackpink World Tour [Born Pink] tour on October 15 at the KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, southern Seoul, and their US concert in Dallas, Texas on October 25. During the North American tour, the group met approximately 200,000 fans at 14 concerts in seven cities.
Blackpink will continue their world tour in 7 European cities until November. Next year, Blackpink will tour Asia and Oceania, eventually attracting some 1.5 million fans worldwide, according to his agency YG Entertainment. The quartet – made up of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – set new records with their latest album “Born Pink” and its lead track “Shut Down”. Late last month, Blackpink became the first female K-pop artist to top the Billboard 200 album chart.
