Blackpink “Shut Down” music video has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube, their agency YG Entertainment announced on Jan 2, 2023, Tuesday.
As of 3:31 a.m. Tuesday, the music video had racked up 300 million views. 109 days have passed since the video was posted.
“Shut Down” is a hip-hop song parody of Paganini’s “La Campanella” (1851) and features punchy vocals and rap.
On the same day, member Lisa’s choreography video for her solo song “Money” surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, according to YG. This is the 38th YouTube video for Blackpink and its members to surpass 100 million views.
“The explosive view count of our videos is due to being able to practice with our members in the free atmosphere of the practice room,” YG Entertainment said in a press conference on Tuesday. “This was also achieved through Lisa’s acting skills and high-quality music. .”
