Blackpink wins entry into Indonesian stadium

Blackpink will become the first K-pop group to hold a solo concert at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia, local media reported on Dec 23, 2022, Wednesday.

They will play in the massive 80,000-seat stadium on March 11-12. The venue is scheduled to close in preparation for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scheduled for May 2023. The Indonesian government only ruled last month that the main stadium cannot be used for concerts.

The quartet is currently on tour in Europe and will arrive in Amsterdam, their final European stop, on Thursday. French First Lady Brigitte Macron at a fashion show in Paris. Starting in January, they will continue their growing international tour in Bangkok, Thailand.
