BTS’ Busan Concert “Yet To Come” Coming to Cinemas Worldwide

BTS “Yet To Come” Concert in Busan

K-pop star BTS’ final concert in Busan will be broadcast globally on CGV in February 2023.

CGV, the premier multiplex franchise owned by local entertainment giant CJ ENM, announced on Dec 20, 2022, Tuesday that it will release the live recording of “BTS ‘Yet To Come’ in Busan” as a movie on Feb. 1, 2023.

The film, officially titled BTS: Yet To Come in Cinemas, will be released in multiplexes in more than 110 countries around the world, CGV said in a statement.

BTS consists of members Jin, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook, and the group is considered the best K-pop group in the world.

The concert of the band “Yet To Come” was held on October 15, 2022 at the main stadium of the Busan Asian Games. This is part of the Nine’s efforts to support the city’s bid to host the 2030 World’s Fair as the event’s honorary ambassadors. It was the group’s most recent concert and the last official group event before the group’s oldest member, Jin, begins his military service on Dec. 13.

CGV said the 103-minute film will showcase BTS’ exclusive performances of the night through cinematic footage and editing techniques, from “Run BTS” to “Run,” “Dynamite” and “Boy With Luv.”

The film will not only be screened on regular 2D screens, but also on CGV’s premium high-tech formats 4DX, ScreenX and 4DX Screen, operating in more than 100 countries around the world.

There will also be a special Army Bomb premiere event for fans to celebrate the game’s launch. Army is the official name of BTS’ global fanbase, and Army Bomb refers to the wave of glow stick fans at BTS concerts. Details of the event and its bookings will be announced at a later date through the CGV mobile app and website.

“We’re delighted to be screening the global idol group BTS’ concert via CGV,” Cho Jin-ho, the head of content programming at CGV, said. “We hope people could visit the theaters and feel the heat of the concert day through the large screens and rich sounds.”
