BTS music video “DNA” had 1.5 billion views on YouTube as of Dec 13, 2022, Thursday.
“DNA” is the lead track on Love Yourself: Her, released in September 2017. The video marks the third time the band has reached the milestone, following “Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)” and “Dynamite.”
The music video quickly racked up 20 million views on the then-K-pop music performance platform.
The septet charted both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 with their fifth EP and title track, a first for a K-pop act. The 11-track album spent six weeks on the charts, with the song at No. 4. In March, the EP re-entered No. 40 on the Billboard album chart.
The EP reached number 14 on the Official UK Chart and “DNA” reached number 90 on the Singles Chart. The album topped the iTunes album chart in 73 territories and sold more than 1.12 million pre-orders, a record at the time.
